About us

Since its incorporation CARBIDE has been active in the field of manufacture and re-sharpening of tools for chip machining of metals. The tools are made of hard metal and high-speed steel (HSS) procured from proven suppliers.

Our tool portfolio includes:

  • Cylindrical, conical and radius shank mil
  • Drills, bits, stepped drills, countersinking bi
  • Reamers, roughening bits, deburring ti
  • Various shaped tools

The tools to be manufactured can be selected from our catalogue or can follow individual customer requirements (customer drawing of the tool or machining part), hence the tools can be made in different diameters and lengths.

In cooperation with coating centres we provide our tools with different types of titanium coats for extended tool life.

The company uses top-standard 5-axis CNC sharpeners by WALTER and SAACKE.


Our customers

Company customers include suppliers to automotive and aircraft industry, to manufacturers of machines and machine parts, to transport equipment industry, to mould and plastic manufacture and to wood processing industry. The company is active on the Czech and Slovak markets.

Until 2011 the company used rented space of the former Gala company in Náměstí square 46, before they built their own seat in that year – a new hall at the end of the municipality of Měřín by Brněnská street.

At present the company has 19 employees: 12 cutters – CNC operators, 2 sales reps, a technologist, an accountant, an economic referent, a facility manager and an executive director.

The number of orders the company processes allows three-shift work (except in 2009).
