Completely Automatic Check of Tool Cutting Geometry

The universal measuring instrument »genius 3s« was developed in cooperation with leading grinder manufacturers specifically for automatic checks of cutting tool geometry. With a 3D reflecting and a 2D incident light camera the machine measures more than 40 tool parameters quickly, simply and fully automatically with µ-accuracy. All parameters are documented in detail in measurement protocols. The measurement is controlled by five CNC controlled axes. The measured data can be transferred to the grinder control system.
